BSL / English Interpreter – Suffolk
£24,174 – £31,601 pro rata
30 hpw. Term time only (39 weeks per year).
You will be based at Bungay High School with occasional travel to the SCC Riverside building.
The CYP Sensory and Communication Service provides countywide services to children and young people with a sensory impairment or communication need. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the service to recruit a qualified British Sign Language (BSL) / English Interpreter to support an able deaf learner who is a full BSL user in a mainstream secondary school in the north of the county. You must be registered with the NRCDP.
Although this role is mainly based in 1 setting there must be a willingness to undertake some travel as required according to the learners needs. You will co-work with a BSL Level 6 qualified colleague and provide mentoring and training.
