Communication Support Worker
Part time 0.4 FTE (Thursday and Friday)
Grade 7, Level 1-4 (£23,381 to £25,826) reduced pro rata £9,352 to £10,330
Temporary post to be extended until the student has left school
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Communication Support Worker to provide communication and educational support to a deaf student who joined Huntington School in September 2016. Experience of supporting students in an educational or youth setting in English/Literacy or Numeracy would be an advantage
You will need:
- excellent communication skills and be able to support the student using BSL (Level 6) or equivalent, SSE and signed and spoken English as appropriate;
- the ability to motivate and encourage them to develop and achieve in the school environment;
- to be responsive to the individual needs of the student;
- to promote the inclusion of all students in the school.
