Finance Officer – The British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust
Full time, starting in January 2021
Based at office near Old St, London N1 but working from home initially due to Covid-19 restrictions
Salary according to skills and experience
The British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust is a young, successful charity with an ambitious agenda. Funded by commercial broadcasters, we commission television programmes made in British Sign Language and we support the companies and Deaf programme-makers who produce them.
We are now looking for a Finance Officer to join the team. For this new role you will need to be qualified at the minimum AAT level 4 or CAT and/or possess a degree in Accounting or Finance. We also require three to five years’ professional experience in a similar role, with at least one year in charity accounting. You must also have a high level of attention to detail with advanced Excel skills as well as the ability to write accurately and clearly in English. Click www.bslzone.co.uk/about/recruitment for the full role description and person specification.
It is also important that you support the work of BSLBT: you should have an interest in Deaf culture and language and be familiar with our website (www.bslzone.co.uk) and our programmes.
To apply, please send a relevant CV plus a letter (no more than two A4 pages) explaining how you are suitable for this role to firstname.lastname@example.org by 1200 on 11th December. Interviews will be held remotely by Zoom due to current Covid-19 restrictions.
BSLBT particularly welcomes applicants from BSL users, and from people of Black, Asian or minority ethnic heritage.
