Heritage Project Assistant

Salary: £21,500 (£10,750 pro-rata)
Part-time – 21 hours per week
10 months fixed-term contract
Based in BDA Head Office, London

Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, British Deaf Association (BDA) is seeking to recruit a Heritage Project Assistant for the BDA Heritage Project.

We are seeking a highly-organised individual to provide assistance to the Heritage Project Manager and help ensure the successful delivery of the BDA Heritage Project in its final year. The Heritage Project Assistant will be responsible for a number of specific tasks which will require creative thinking and a pro-active approach. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to increase their skills in project management with a particular focus on the heritage and moving image sectors. The post involves editing footages, updating BDA’s Archive catalogues, Online Resource and marketing through social media.

The successful candidate will have proven organisational skills, experience of keeping detailed records and strong IT skills particularly in editing footages and Microsoft Office.
