Empower, inspire, encourage and challenge our young people to develop the knowledge, understanding, confidence and skills to become thinking, resilient citizens who can succeed in a changing world.

Oak Lodge School follows a student-centred, multi-modal approach to communication. We would like to welcome you to become part of our vibrant and innovative learning community, to have the opportunity to work in our happy and harmonious school, that promotes the highest standards and is at the forefront of special education. We are an inclusive school where every student and member of staff is valued highly.

Phoenix House Residential Service forms an integral part of the school. We provide accommodation for a maximum of fifteen young people aged 11-19 years.

Phoenix House is looking for a Residential Worker to provide support for students with a wide range of needs and communication methods. The students reside in Phoenix House for 1-4 nights a week and staff are required to undertake limited sleep-in duties to facilitate this.

We are looking for a Residential Worker who has excellent communication skills, with a good knowledge of D/deafness, communication difficulties, positive behaviour management and additional health and educational needs.
