We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher of deaf children to work within the Specialist base for deaf/hearing impaired students at Overton Grange School.
Overton Grange is a popular comprehensive school, with around 1300 students on roll and has enjoyed consistent academic success; rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2016. We have recently started working in partnership with the University of Brighton Academies Trust. The school is fully committed to inclusion and has a thriving Hearing Support Department.
Working closely with the Head of Learning Support, you will oversee the Hearing Support Department to facilitate the inclusion of deaf students throughout school and in the mainstream classes; tutorial sessions to support their language skills and access to their lessons and support teachers in ensuring inclusion for the deaf students in their lesson.

They share good practice and support each other well to develop strong professional links. Middle leaders are actively engaged in the professional development of teachers and support those who are experienced or new to the profession.’ (OFSTED 2016).
