We would like to appoint a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant with a relevant BSL qualification to start with immediate effect. Due to funding provisions, this is a temporary post until the end of the Summer Term 2018, in the first instance.
The post holder will work with HIRB students, both in class and by withdrawal. Secondary experience preferred but not essential. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and pro-active in helping our hearing impaired students to develop their language skills and achieve their target stages/grades and in raising deaf awareness within the school and wider school community.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
