SignPost will be running an annual 12-month training programme for Deaf people in partnership with BSLBT (British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust)

What does SignPost do…

What does BSLBT do …

BSLBT commissions television programmes made in British Sign Language by Deaf people in partnership with hearing people. The Trust was set up in 2008 to offer an alternative way for commercial broadcasters to meet regulatory requirements to provide sign language on their channels. 

What are we looking for…

We are looking for 2 trainees to join us from January 2020 in our brand new and exciting training programme partnering with BSLBT. At Signpost, we are committed to building and nurturing talent within a creative, dedicated and agile working environment. Filming can take us anywhere in the country and beyond and with passion to create the best content, our desire to improve our diverse talent is limitless.

It is also important that you support the work of BSLBT: you should have an interest in Deaf culture and language and be familiar with the BSL Zone website and programmes.

We are particularly interested in applications from Deaf people who use BSL as their preferred language.

  • Keen interest and passion for TV production
