Volunteer – Sense Holidays

Are you looking for a new volunteering experience?

Do you want a holiday experience where you get to try new things, meet new people and help others do the same?

Then get involved in one of our Sense Holidays.

July to November Holidays now available to volunteer on – apply now and volunteer this year for free!

Sense Holidays provide opportunities for holiday makers – deafblind children, young people and adults – to have fun, try new things and meet new people. Many families never have the chance to have a break from their caring responsibilities. They also give families a break from caring, and enables them to focus on their own health and wellbeing.

You’ll bring your professional experience, great interpersonal skills, willingness to learn, team work, flexibility, stamina, patience, humour and care to help bring our Sense Holidays programme to life.

You’ll be part of a team led by an experienced and skilled holiday leader who’ll ensure you and the holiday maker have the best possible time. On the Holidays you will work one to one with holiday makers to enable them to fully participate and get the most out of all the activities. In 2019 our holidays are from July November.

It doesn’t cost you anything, you don’t need to have any specific skills or to have done anything similar before. Full training and support is provided; although we are particularly keen to hear from male volunteers, volunteers with British Sign Language skills, volunteers willing to drive a minibus on the holiday and volunteers with experience of supporting people with complex health care needs. Due to the nature of this role, volunteers should be 18 or over
