Experience boundary-pushing visually led performance and animated film, broadcast direct to your home! Puppet Animation Scotland are excited to present MANIPULATE Digital Festival, a programme spanning puppetry, visual and physical theatre, animated film, aerial and contortion, alongside workshops, social events and discussions.

From the 27th January to the 7th February, all of our online events will be subtitled or captioned and we want you to join us!

You can experience the festival in two ways. For the ‘live’ festival experience, you can attend our evening premiere events, where you can stream a curated line-up of both live and pre-recorded films in real time alongside festival audiences across the world. You can also watch each piece on catch-up until midnight on Sunday 7 February, so that you can watch festival events around your own schedule at times that work for you.

Highlights of the festival include Animated Womxn, an international programme of animated short films by extraordinary female animators from around the world; The End of TV by Chicago-based Manual Cinema, set in a post-industrial Rust Belt city in the 1990s and featuring shadow puppetry and 70’s R&B inspired original pop songs; and EAT ME, a new work by female-led experimental theatre company Snap-Elastic, about two women who use the dark web to find each other and together commit an act of “consensual” cannibalism

For only £20/£15 you can experience the entire digital festival, or, you can choose to attend an evening for £10/£7.
