Chief Executive Officer – Deaf Support Network (DSN)

Location: Cheshire, the North-West and North Wales
Salary: £65,000 per annum (plus attractive package of benefits)

Deaf Support Network (DSN) was founded in 1976 as the Cheshire Deaf Society, and now provides a wide range of support and services for Deaf, Deafblind, and people with a Visual Impairment in Cheshire and the surrounding area.

DSN’s vision is a world where deaf and visually impaired people can communicate effectively and live healthy, independent and fulfilling lives. Deaf Support Network are looking for a Chief Executive Officer to join the team on a permanent basis.

In the role of CEO, you will originate, design, deliver, monitor, and evaluate a multi-disciplinary programme of works aimed at responding to the access and living needs of deaf and visually impaired people in Cheshire, the north-west and north Wales. You will develop and implement a growth strategy that financially sustains and develops the organisation, ensuring DSN is able to deliver value for money services to deaf and visually impaired people.

As the CEO you will work with the Chair and the Board of Trustees to ensure the charity is appropriately governed as per the requisites of the Charity Commission and Companies House as well as providing leadership to the Senior Management Team and the wider staff team.

The successful candidate will have significant proven leadership experience at senior management level, including strategic planning, business plans, financial management and human resources management. Knowledge of the issues facing deaf, hard of hearing, blind and visually impaired people would be advantageous.
