Waterperry Opera Festival is inviting deaf and hard of hearing individuals and their families to performances of Humperdinck’s Hansel & Gretel on 18th (open dress rehearsal), 19th, 20th, & 21st August at Waterperry Gardens.

 

This production will be signed by BSL performer Paul Whittaker OBE, who will be integrated into the staging and storytelling. The show will be outside, in a woodland environment, and will last for an hour. Prior to the performance, there will be a free signed singing/props-making workshop exploring themes and characters from the opera.

Tickets are discounted (£1 for children and £3 for adults).

This opera is perfect for families and children, whether regular theatre-goers or those attending an opera performance for the first time. With our relaxed and interactive production, the whole family can follow the adventure of Hansel and Gretel through the woods.

These tickets are by invitation only, exclusive to deaf or hard of hearing individuals and their families. The Festival website provides more information about Hansel & Gretel, but does not mention these tickets specifically.
