Are you a qualified British Sign Language Interpreter Interpreter?

Do you have experience of working as a British Sign Language Interpreter in public services, specifically social care settings?

Are you maintaining and developing your practice in line with the recognised standards of your profession?

We are looking for an experienced BSL interpreter that sensitively can support the additional requirements of people who are deaf and hearing impaired.

The Royal Greenwich Interpreting Service (RGIS) provides face to face language interpreters, British sign language (BSL) interpreters and the translation of documents as required to enable residents to access local health services and services provided by the Council.

The candidate

The successful candidate will have considerable amount of experience in public service BSL interpreting. The candidate should have a recognised qualification in BSL Interpreting and be registered with NRPCD.

Experience of working with health or social care professionals is desirable and other areas of expertise such as medical and legal interpreting are certainly an advantage.
