We are recruiting a Team Leader for our highly valued sensory support services. This is a unique opportunity to lead excellent support to people who are Deaf, blind or deafblind.

What will I be doing?

You will manage two dedicated teams, both comprising skilled and experienced Support Workers and Senior Support Worker, with a mix of Deaf and hearing staff.

You will lead the Sensory Support Service to provide floating support to people in their own homes, helping people to increase their independence and prevent homelessness.

You will lead the staff in our accommodation-based scheme at Buckley Court to support eight Deaf tenants to maximise their potential and move on successfully to independent living.

You will also provide direct support, to continually extend your personal expertise in support work.

What do I need to have?

You will have excellent communication skills including a current working ability to communicate in British Sign Language (minimum level 3 qualification or equivalent).

You will have extensive experience of supporting people with sensory impairments and knowledge of the communication and cultural needs of Deaf, blind and deafblind people.

You will have the leaderships skills to inspire, challenge, develop and support team members.
