Signature Community Spirit Award finalists – You decide the winner

Signature Annual awards

The Signature Annual awards, in their ninth year, are established as the leading awards ceremony to celebrate deaf communication in the UK.

This year, Signature is asking the public to decide the winner of the special Community Spirit Award.  This award recognises the amazing work that’s being done by and for the community; the community should have a say on who takes the trophy home.

The finalists are:

Genie Networks – a deaf family centre in Greater Manchester who supports children and families with workshops, training and special community events. They provide a safe and fun environment for families to learn and play together.

Access Bedford – a volunteer-run charity that campaigns to improve access to services in Bedford, improve health and reduce social isolation in the deaf community.

Sign It Hear – a community interest company providing effective training and advice to companies in order to break down barriers and improve communication between deaf and hearing communities.

NDCS Youth Advisory Board – a board of 11-18 year olds set up by NDCS to act as ambassadors, lobby makers and campaign in the interest of deaf young people.

Anybody can vote, for free, by visiting the Signature Annual Awards website. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony in Leeds on Friday 10th November.
