Virgin Media have announced that their video relay service, currently available for BSL users contacting their customer care centres, will be trialled in a number of their retail stores from 15th August.
BSL users visiting their Newcastle, Bristol, Leicester and Norwich stores will be able to take advantage of a video remote interpreting service to talk to a member of Virgin’s in-store team with the assistance of an interpreter via video link.
The trial period will run until the end of 2017 and, pending feedback from users, may be rolled out across more stores at a later date.
